The Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens invited our Spinners and Weavers Guild to participate in their Harvest Festival on Labour Day weekend.
We set up a table for flower pounding which was very popular, especially with the kids. One enthusiastic little boy came back three times.
Our members were there with everything from drop spindles to the newest model of a battery/electricity driven spinning wheel. Some children were very interested - maybe some future spinners!
One of our members set up and warped a loom between two trees.
Visitors and guild members wove in plant material throughout the day.
The final weaving.
